Marcus Aurelius once said, “the happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts.” We need to watch what we are thinking about and look at what is good, lovely, pure and of good report. Keeping in mind that our thoughts are seeds to our emotions. We need to guard our thoughts, calling them into captivity. So that even in the worst circumstances, we can react with positive thoughts. In Philippians 4:8b-9 the Apostle Paul says, “Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me-everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.” A positive reaction to a non-positive event will yield happy feelings rather that unhappy ones. We can choose to be happy!
